Springwood Women’s Health Clinic combines the special interests of experienced general practitioners to provide you with complete care for all aspects of women’s health and wellbeing. CONTRACEPTIVE ADVICE
A range of contraception options are available and sometimes it is difficult to know what the best option is for you. Your doctor can discuss the options available and help you to find out one that you are happy with.
Contraception options include the oral contraceptive pill, mini pill, Mirena, Implanon, depo injection and the Nuvaring. Implanon insertion/removal, depo injections and mirena insertion/removal can be done onsite.
MIRENA INSERTION
Mirena insertion can be done onsite by Dr Aliya Alladin in our purpose built procedure room for optimal privacy and comfort.
A pre insertion consultation is required to ensure an IUD is the right option for you and to answer any questions you may have about the procedure.
REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
Reproductive health care includes:
SEXUAL HEALTH
A sexual health check is simple and it is a great opportunity for you to discuss any concerns in your sex life such as discomfort, low libido or dryness. We are also experienced in discussing any sexual questions and concerns including prevention and management of sexually transmitted diseases. An STI check is a simple and straightforward procedure.
Privacy and confidentiality is ensured at all times.
MENSTRUAL ISSUES
Irregular, absent or painful periods are issues that are often encountered by women and often something can be done about it. There is usually an underlying cause such as PCOS, endometriosis or fibroids which once diagnosed can be successfully treated.
Other common women’s health consultations include pap smears, breast complaints, management of menopausal symptoms or bladder issues. Please ask your doctor if there is anything you are unsure about.
